amy sedwick Amy Sedgwick has a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto. After working as a clinician, Amy moved into a program development role promoting wellness and alternative health strategies for patients and staff at Bridgepoint Hospital. After giving birth to her daughter in 2005, Amy left her position at Bridgepoint Hospital and began studying to be a Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner through Justisse Healthworks for Women. In this capacity she teaches women how to use Fertility Awareness to avoid or achieve conception naturally. Amy regularly runs workshops on fertility awareness and eco-friendly contraception at her store, Red Tent Sisters (link), which she founded with her sister in August 2007. Amy is a professional practitioner of the Arvigo Techniques™ of Maya Abdominal Massage and offers workshops on the history and benefit of this unique modality. In addition to her work in women’s reproductive health, Amy enjoys facilitating ongoing WeeHands™ classes. Amy beliefs strongly in the benefits of teaching parents and babies how to communicate using American Sign Language after having a very successful signing experience with her daughter, Mattea, now two and a half.
