Ronna Bloom BA MEd- Panic-Free Poetry and Writing Workshops

ronna bloom Ronna Bloom teaches poetry and prose. She has hosted writing workshops throughout Canada and abroad. Ronna has three published books of poetry. Her most recent book, Public Works (Pedlar Press, 2004), was shortlisted for the Pat Lowther Award.

Ronna has a Masters Degree in Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. She also works with individuals as a psychotherapist and a writing mentor.

The Panic-Free Poetry Workshops are designed to take the anxiety out of poetry. In less than an hour, begin to write poetry that reflects your own language, concerns and life experiences.

Writing your Way Out of A Paper Bag This is a one-shot workshop for anyone stuck in any aspect of their lives. Through in-class writing exercises, explore what gets in your way.

Personal Narrative: 10 week courses Rilke said that “the only journey is the one taken within.” Learn how to focus on the sensory details of your own life and memory and shape them into a narrative form, whether it be a story, series of poems, essay, or memoir.

Poetry Coaching: On an individual basis, Ronna works with you to clarify what it is you want to say, and to direct you towards your unfolding material in a way that supports the process.
